never alone, never apart

K-Oโ€™s a quarter century old as of July 2020, so I drew him and his best friend because I love these two. K-O has his quarantine hair in this, and heโ€™s on his way back to that ponytail he was sporting when he and โ€˜Key first metโ€ฆAnarchy and Kohao have been through some SHIT together over the past 9 years. He and Anarchy went from a couple sarcastic shitlords as teenagers, throwing insults and sometimes even fists, as unstable teen boys are wont to doโ€ฆto a close and occasionally lopsided best-friendship, as Kohao stagnated in teenage volatility even into his early 20โ€™s, while Anarchy began to matureโ€”though his fight with his own sexuality then brought them together in a different way; as friends-with-benefits and then lovers. That couldnโ€™t last, not with Kohaoโ€™s damage, and they returned to best-friendship thatโ€™s about as close to brotherhood as you can get when you have a romantic and sexual history together. Now, summer 2020, Kohaoโ€™s been asked to be โ€˜Keyโ€™s best man at his eventual wedding, and Anarchyโ€™s thrilled that his best friend has gotten to a point in healing where his aggressive tattoos arenโ€™t going to be visible by the time wedding photos are being taken. Things will get hard next year for K-O, post-wedding, but itโ€™ll be okayโ€ฆand Anarchyโ€™s going to be a big reason why things turn out okay. These two didnโ€™t work out as a couple, noโ€ฆbut they never, ever mean โ€œlessโ€ to one another because of that. Love them.
