What is ‘Edge of Infinity’?
Edge of Infinity is a fictional hardcore band based in the Cypress Hills / East New York area of Brooklyn, NY. Though they started out as a directionless cast just to draw for fun, their stories have become an intricate personal project that I hope to use to spread awareness of addiction, mental illness, trauma, and LGBT+ issues—as well as to spread a message of hope and to explore not just the messiness and harder aspects, but also the healing power of human connection.
→ How am I supposed to read this?
I don’t know; however you want to! Although arranged in rough chronological order, with the non-chronology chosen so that one can read ‘straight down’ through the navigation without too much confusion, there isn’t a truly ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to read through these stories. They’re written out of order and uploaded as they’re finished. Start with the bios and follow the links, start with the timeline and click on the events/titles that tickle your fancy, Russian Roulette it and pick a random story from the Stories So Far navigation bars. However you go about it is fine!
(But do let me know if you find the Golden Formula for the order in which to read all this.)
→ What’s with the furries?
You’ll notice that I’ll frequently draw the members of EoI as anthropomorphic animals. This is simply a quirk of having only recently begun drawing humans and still being more comfortable in drawing what I know—but in writing and in general, the Edge of Infinity “universe” is a human one. Confusing, I know, but what isn’t? Generally speaking, the only differences between our universe and EoI’s is that eye colors are a little more varied and rent in NYC is not astronomical—it’s not a shapeshifter universe nor one populated by anthropomorphic animals. That is simply a creative quirk only present in the visual art aspect of their stories.
